The largest housing allocation in the St Helens local plan, this is one of the most complex brownfield sites in the country, with major changes in levels and large amounts of waste bi-products from its former use as a glassworks.  We secured planning consent for the site’s wholesale remediation, the installation of a new spine road, 1,100 new homes and more than 200,000 square feet of commercial space. The housing element has been divided into four plots for sequential sale, the first of which has been disposed of to a major social landlord.
